Your Realtor® will work hard for you but it’s crucial that you have a good working relationship with them. Make sure you speak to your potential Realtor® and ask them any questions you may have. That’s a good way to establish if you feel confident working with them!
Your Realtor® will visit your home and discuss ways to maximize the value in your home. This may include repairs, decluttering, staging and updates. At Riversite, we recommend getting a head start on your packing – if you’re not going to use an item in the next 2-3 months, pack it away (or donate it to your local thrift store!).
Your Realtor® will discuss with you marketing strategies, listing price, listing period and any other relevant things you need to consider. They will also arrange for all of the marketing assets to be produced.
Your Realtor® will take you through any offers received on your property and the contents of those offers. They will walk you through the process and carry out any negotiations on your behalf.
Now is also the time, if you haven’t already done so, to instruct a lawyer to act on your behalf. Your Realtor® can also recommend a lawyer if you do not have one in mind.
